Pucker Up and Join the Sour Revolution

Cascade Brewing has been a pioneer in the sour beer renaissance since 2006 and is the proud innovator of the Northwest Sour Ale. Our distinctive sour beer blends feature fruit forward, barrel-aged ales with an emphasis on project year-to-year variation. These beers offer a complex array of flavors derived from the acid, the fruit and the residual flavors present in the barrels in which they age. The resulting beers offer a complex array of flavors and aromas derived from with each project year release capturing the unique subtleties of that year’s growing season.

Our beers are brewed and blended in Southwest Portland, Oregon. Our Blending House currently houses 1,300 French oak, Kentucky Bourbon and Northwest wine barrels – plus nine foudres – filled with wheats, blonds, quads, reds, browns and porters that are aged and blended into magical elixirs. These beers have aggressive tart notes that are balanced by residual sugars, fruits, spices and the oak we use. We serve them all up for you here at the “House of Sour,” which features more than 28 rotating taps with a predominantly sour lineup at any given time. We also offer a number of bottled products to go. Cheers to the Sours!
