COASTAL GOSE 2018

Few places embody the wild spirit of the Pacific Northwest like the Oregon Coast. To help protect this venerated landscape, we’ve partnered with the Portland Chapter of the Surfrider Foundation on our Coastal Gose blend. This interpretation of the historic Gose beer features sour wheat ales aged in oak barrels with ground coriander seed and sea salt harvested from Oregon’s coastal waters. By donating a portion of the profits from each bottle sold, we are committed to helping the Portland Surfrider Chapter protect and preserve the world’s oceans, waves and beaches––one beer at a time. 7.3% ABV

CRANBERRY 2016

This NW sour ale is a blend of wheat ales that were aged in oak wine barrels for up to 14 months with cranberries, orange peel and cinnamon. Using cranberries grown along the Oregon coast, the 2016 blend offers brilliant cranberry fruit flavor with soft spice notes that offer refreshment through every season of the year. 6.6% ABV

APRICOT 2017

This Northwest sour ale is a blend of blond ales that were aged in oak wine barrels for up to 14 months with more than 13,000 pounds of fresh apricots from the Pacific Northwest. A flagship project in Cascade Brewing’s sour beer portfolio, Apricot offers flavors of fresh and dried apricot fruit complimented by a tart acidity and lingering notes of apricot preserves. 7.3% ABV

BRUNCH LINE

Brunch lines are as much an institution as brunch itself in Portland, so we made a beer dedicated to the rain-soaked hordes of brunch-goers who patiently stand in line for their weekend fare. Inspired by the mimosa cocktail, Brunch Line features sour wheat and blond ales aged in white wine barrels for up to two years with Willamette Valley-grown Chardonnay grapes, then infused with fresh orange zest. 9.6% ABV

GARDEN PARTY 2017

Garden Party is a blend of sour blond and wheat ales aged in white wine barrels for up to two years with Willamette Valley-grown chardonnay grapes followed by a late infusion of fresh Meyer lemon zest and dried elderflowers. The perfect beverage for any outdoor soirée, Garden Party delivers the sparkle of champagne, the floral delicacy of elderflowers and the brilliance of sweet lemon zest—bringing refinement and refreshment to your party, wherever it may be. 9.8% ABV

THE RAINBOW PROJECT

The Rainbow Project is a blend of sour wheat and blond ales aged in oak wine barrels for up to 18 months with orange, lime and lemon zest as well as whole Northwest-grown strawberries. Offering a colorful combination of fruit varieties, this seasonal draft-only release delivers a brilliant polychromatic spectrum of citrus and berry flavor. 6.7% ABV

ROSE CITY SOUR 2017

Celebrating Portland’s reputation as the City of Roses, we are pleased to offer Rose City Sour, a blend of wheat and blond ales aged in oak wine barrels for up to 14 months with rose petals, rose hips and hibiscus flowers. Rose City Sour captures the delicate floral aromas of fresh roses matched with notes of dried cranberries, pomegranates and a hint of white pepper. 8% ABV

ONE WAY OR ANOTHER 2017

Based on a collaboration recipe originally designed with our friends at Bruery Terreux®, the 2017 One Way Or Another combines whole, Northwest-grown marionberries and Meyer lemon zest with sour blond ale aged in oak barrels for up to 16 months. The finished blend captures notes of blackberry pastry, fresh citrus and spruce tips with a lively acidity and dry finish. 7.7% ABV

HONEY GINGER LIME

This easy-drinking Northwest sour ale features a spiced rye base beer aged in oak wine barrels with candied ginger and lime peel followed by a late addition of fresh ginger, lime and wildflower honey. Lightly sour with a kiss of honey sweetness, the Cascade H.G.L. offers the perfect balance between complexity and refreshment. 6.8% ABV

KRIEK 2017

A blend of sour red ales aged up to 17 months in red wine barrels with Bing and sour pie cherries. 7.7% ABV

PÊCHE FUMÉ 2017

Pêche Fumé is a blend of wheat ales brewed with cherrywood smoked malt and aged in oak barrels for up to 14 months with Northwest-grown peaches. Delicately balancing bold elements of smoke and fruit, Pêche Fumé captures notes of fresh peaches and campfire smoke with hints of dried apples and lemon zest. 6.8 % ABV

TROPICAL EMBERS 2018

A blend made in partnership with our friends at Beachwood Blendery, Tropical Embers features sour wheat ale brewed with smoked malt—a tribute to Beachwood’s reputation for renowned BBQ—then aged in oak barrels for up to 18 months with additions of whole pineapple and mango. This limited collaboration project offers a unique combination of wood smoke aroma and tropical fruit flavor. 7.3% ABV

BEAN TO BARREL

A collaboration project made with Mikkeller, Bean-to-Barrel Triple features a blend of barrel and foudre aged sour triple ales with toasted Oregon and French oak and a late infusion of cocoa nibs sourced from Bean Geeks Craft Chocolate in Copenhagen. Celebrating Bean Geeks’ “bean-to-bar” chocolate-making methods, Bean-to-Barrel Triple offers aromas of dark chocolate, vanilla and toasted oak sugars combined with the light pear and citrus fruit notes of the sour triple. 9.4% ABV

CUVEE DU JONGLEUR

Originally released in 2008, Cuvée du Jongleur, or “Blend of the Juggler,” consists of select red, triple and quad sour ales aged in oak barrels for up to three years. Making its first appearance in over a decade, the 2017 project pays homage to the original blend, juggling a variety of base beers that offer clean and complex flavors through the lactic fermentation process that has come to define our Northwest Sour Ales. 9.4% ABV

SANG NOIR 2017

Sang Noir is a blend of imperial red ales aged in bourbon and wine barrels for up to two years with Bing cherries. The darkest in our series of “Sang” projects, Sang Noir features flavors of dark roast malts, bourbon, black cherries and port wine. A draft only project. 9.8% ABV

BOURBONIC PLAGUE 2016 ANNIVERSARY EDITION

This beer was made to celebrate Cascade Brewing’s 20th anniversary. A blend of sour imperial porters aged in bourbon and wine barrels for up to two years with dates, cinnamon, vanilla and orange peel, this limited blend marks 20 extraordinary years of brewing, blending and sharing beer.

PORTLAND ALE

Our Blond Ale is brewed with flavorful German Pilsner malt and Czech Saaz hops resulting in a balanced and approachable craft beer. 19 IBU / 4.9% ABV

PEKK ON THE LIPS PALE ALE

This pale ale features a hop we’ve never used before, Pekko! Directly from Roy Farms in Moxee, WA they have aromas of apricot, nectarine and mint which are present in this beer. 44 IBU / 5.6% ABV

RELEASE ME HAZY IPA

This hazy IPA features delicate aromas of peach and melon with flavors of tropical fruit and grapefruit. Cashmere, Azacca, and Dr. Rudi hops were “let go,” in this beer. 44 IBU / 7.6% ABV

CASCADE IPA

Our house India Pale Ale is brewed a combination of Chinook, Cascade, and Amarillo hops. A rich orange color, citrusy hops and sensible bitterness welcome and reward every sip. 50 IBU / 6.3%

BREWS OF A FEATHER

This coffee beer is a celebration of two different types of “brew.” The addition of more than a gallon per barrel of Stumptown Coffee Roasters’ Holler Mountain cold brew, organic cacao nibs and vanilla beans is our way of enjoying two of our favorite products. Close your eyes, smell the coffee, lemon peel, and the notes of vanilla, and enjoy this serving as if it was the first of your day! 6.1 % ABV 20 IBU

BERRY VLAD TO MEET YOU

A blend of sour spiced quad, blond and red ales aged for over two years in both wine and bourbon oaks. Traditionally our Vlad the Impaler is infused with orange peel and coriander, but for this project we also added elderberries and marionberries to give a fruity, almost wine-like twist to this spirit-forward favorite. IT'S A GIRL

Cascade Brewing’s Artist-in-Residence Kirsten and Rogue Ales Innovation Brewer Danny came together for the ultimate brewing collaboration: It’s A Girl!
Rebel Rose Connors was born May 14th and we made a beer to celebrate it. This started with a brut pils brewed with Cascade hops. Then blended with 20% of a Cascade blonde aged on grapefruit zest, and finally dry-hopped with Huell Melon hops. The unique blend starts with a refreshing citrus kick, and finishes with some nice mellow fruitiness. 7% ABV

CHÊNE DES FOUS

Made in collaboration with Burial Beer Company in Ashville, NC, Chêne des Fous (meaning “oak of the fools”) is a blend of sour triple ales aged for up to 18 months in French oak barrels with dried sumac, fresh apricots and toasted oak chains. Intense oak flavors of vanilla, crème brûlée, coconut and spice are met with soft lemon and dried fruit notes from the sumac and a subtle stone fruit aroma.

CRAZY NAVEL 2016

Crazy Navel is a blend of sour wheat and blond ales aged in oak wine barrels for 14 months with fresh orange zest. Using both Cara Cara and Heirloom varietals, Crazy Navel captures the essence of the navel orange balanced with a refreshingly tart and dry base beer. – 7.6% ABV

VLAD THE IMP ALER 2013

This Northwest sour ale is a blend of blond quads, triples and blonds. Aged over 18 months in select bourbon and wine barrels with orange peel & coriander. 12.3% ABV

Kentucky Peach is a blend of sour wheat and quad ales aged in bourbon and wine barrels for up to 16 months with fresh, Northwest-grown peaches. This limited project offers flavors of ripe peaches and warm bourbon with hints of oak and a light malt sweetness. 9.2% ABV

HOT BREAK - LITTLE BEAST BREWING

From our friends at Little Beast, and unpasteurized sour ale dry hopped with Mandarina Bavaria. Hot Break is made with Pilsner and wheat malts, and rolled oats. Unique Lactobaccilus fermentation with Saccharomyces, then dry hopped. 4.8%

GROUND BREAKER IPA NO. 5

IPA No. 5 is brewed with roasted chestnuts, roasted lentils, and Belgian-style candi sugar. Crystal and Santiam hops are used during the boil and for dry-hopping. Crystal hops bring the classic Northwest IPA pine and citrus notes while Santiam adds hints of tropical and stone fruits. Available in a can.
